Need micro controller interface support for wifi+blutooth chips

Former Member

I need micro controller interfacing support for these chips  RTL8723BS, LM811, TiWi5, TiWi-BLE, as the manufacturers of these chips are not providing support for the same, any micro controller which is able to interface UART for bluetooth and SDIO for wifi is fine, and also suggest some microcontrollers for interfacing.

The last one , see http://elinux.org/Beagleboard:BeagleBone_TiWi-BLE_w/_Chip_Antenna

Another is LM811: Linux driver installation - Support Wiki - LM Technologies Support works with Raspberry Pi 2

As clem57 suggests the BeagleBone is an option, but as a matter of fact it depends on what kind of device / power / cost you need. And, as you can imagine, it is strongly influenced by your project needs. There are a lot of micro supporting these components (almost common I see),  from the AVR328p (8 bit micro controller, formerly Arduino in one of the most popular applications) to the PIC (that I strongly recommend respect the slower Arduino) up to the Beagle Bone and Raspberry PI.

The most important difference is not only the intrinsic power of the micro but the fact that you have a separation line between those microcontrollers that can be directly programmed like Arduino, ChipKit etc . and the SBC (Single Board Computers) that suport a complete operating system, just like the BBB and Raspberry PI. There are also the PSOC devices but I am not an expert in this case and I can't make a good comparison.
