I found this module in an old laptop, unwired. Has anyone ever tried to use one of these?
Hi Scott,
It might be a USB interface since it only has four pins. Sometimes laptops internally use USB for some of their internal peripherals as I understand (e.g. some built-in webcams, etc). But some peripherals (e.g. trackpads) with old laptops are possibly UART based so I could be wrong.

After closer inspection there was a 6-pin connector on the backside that was broken off, so I'm not going to try and use it.
Thanks,

Yeah, looking at other photos now some do show a cable harness coming from the pack of the board. Perhaps the four pads are just for programming the module.
