Are there any other microchip processors that are identical to the PIC24FJ64GA004_PT only with more memory? It has to be the same pin number too (44). Thanks.

yea I have tried that 704 but it sadly doesn't work :/ i might try a PIC24FJ128GA204 as it seems to be the only other chip with more memory at that pin count. Thanks for the reply.

I think you need to be using Microchip's product selector. They mix-and-match the peripherals so much it's impossible to give you a simple answer.

For instance the PIC24FJ128GA704 or PIC24FJ256GA704 might work for you (newer, more memory, cheaper), but not if you need the 5 PWM channels that the 004 gives you. And, check the datasheets very carefully - a quick scan shows that the 704 part has fewer 5.5V tolerant pins than the 004 part, which might or might not be important to you if it's going on an existing board.
