Where is Memory Going

Just trying to get some opinion as to where memory is going. Sure PC's are DDR2 upwards but what about SDRAM - how long will it last - I just get the feeling that memory architectures (and suppliers) are becoming extinct at an ever increasing rate. Would welcome comments on where to go for systems needing 128Mb - 512Mb of memory?

Dear Pete,

Memory will be heading to a more Ferro type as they possess better read/write cycle as compared to conventional EEPROM. But of course, there are more to this.

In near future, we will have memory modules have high capacity but with a flexible phsyical design (Eg. OLED look alike material)
