Hi Cabe,
These are somethings even I have faced. Maybe, it is a common human behaviour.
Such things are done by people with low self-esteem, who lack self-confidence, and those who are undeserving of their present posting.
Hi Cabe,
The problem is (i guess) that people decide to buy on 'salesprice' and the 'brandname'. Due to to global market companies are moving away from own design but they stay focussed on a few aspects and just buy the remaing stuff. The reputation of such companies is entirely based on their past performance. This process can not be reversed, it is the way in which the economy works nowadays. If companies are not following they will loose market share to the competition. I have seen this process in the LCD and Plasma TV business. In the beginning the TV companies made everything themselves, now there are still a few panel suppliers and a few board suppliers. The distinction is merely in software and visual appearance. The competition is really killing. One the other hand: no one exspects their TV lifetime to be 15 years as in the past. The changes in features and technology are to rapid.

Hi Cabe,
Yes, true. This is a shame when you like to collect antiques :-)
Cheers, Enrico
