Battery Monitoring for a wireless System dedicated to biomedical application

Hello;

I hope that i'm in the good section for publishing my issue;

 

i'm developing a wireless system for a biomediacl application , the highest potential level in my circuit is 24V , so i want to use  battery for power supply , lik using 3x 9V battery to get as a 27V as a power supply ;

still i want to know how can i monitor the battery to inform the user the available energy into the battery , i can send this information either to a GUI on PC, or to an LCD emdedd into the sytem that just show this information.
