Hello to all,

I hope this is the right section to post my question.

I'm looking for a pin-to-pin compatible part for 74HC595 but with open drain outputs instead of standard push-pull.

Do you know any product that meets this constraint?

You could always build up a daughter board to fit into the 595 socket and install open drain transisters/FETs on each output.
That way you can select the best driving transister to meet your switching time and drive current needs. Plus it gives you room to install heat sinks if needed.

I didn't provide much details indeed. The package is SOIC-16 and I need to sink only few uA. I'm looking for something like TPIC6B595 but compatibile with the 74HC595 - just to make a test with the PCB I already have.
