Hello Everyone,
I am new with microcontroller and embedded system itself. I am currently working on the audio speakers, which is an old device that has dsPIC mcu, CODEC, and 8Mbit flash memory to record and play from the microphone input.
My intent is to add a bluetooth for wireless connectivity and hopelly able to control with the smart phones or remote control and add PLAY, REC, FF, and RWD. The bluetooth that I have seen so far are RN52, WT32(Bluegiga) and BTM511(Laird Tech) all with CODEC capability from mouser.
1.) Do you have any suggestion which Bluetooth I should use and do you recommend getting a development kit that goes with it?
2.) How much memory do I need to store at least 1hr of recording?
3.) Also, to increase memory and save money, should I use EEPROM instead of flash memory?
4.) I really want to use AVR MCU instead of PIC, but I'm still debating if i should switch or not, should I do it or not?
Thank you,
JB
