I am having difficulty receiving data on USART2 of the STM32F405RGT6

I am having difficulty receiving data on USART2 of the STM32F405RGT6 . It is receiving one character when I use HAL_UART_Receive_IT interrupts. I am trying to receive some characters from ADUCM360 USART. Even I tried using HAL_UART_Receive_DMA but still receive one charcter. Any help on this very much appreciated. Thank you.

It would help very much if you could post the relevant parts of your code, and maybe also a wee look at the IO Configuration.

So on the USART2_IRQHandler, this is my code

      {

Does it get called? Do you have to clear the interrupt?
