433 remote HFY408G rev2.1, disable learning mode

Hey Guys,

Just a hobbyist working on a project, and been reading on Element14 for a while, just never had a issue i though needed posting. However today its time.

Building some circuits for some friends using a 433 receiver. Im programming 433mhz remotes to send out specific codes. However these remotes are cheap ebay remotes that can be learned any code. To start the remote in learning mode you just press button A and B at the same time.

I have measured the whole circuit board of the remote to find a bridge or any pin i can alter to make sure the remote does not accept the 2 button presses to enable learning mode. However with no result! In the picture i circled 2 points i tried to bridge, but with no result.

I hope somebody recognizes the circuitry and may be able to shine some light if this is even possible to do.

The chip that manages everything has not a single piece of text on it, so maybe somebody recognizes it by the measurements i did? I tried to mark all the components i could find markings on in the picture.

Type of the remote: HFY408G rev 2.1

Uses a 12v battery.

Hope anybody has any idea. Thx!

There are 2 ways to do this: disconnect either button A or button B make button A disable button B when Button A is pressed. This requires either a double pole switch or an extra transistor and resistor…

Thx Doug! Was thinking about option 2 as well, but don’t know exactly how to do this. Was thinking about putting a pnp transistor between the signal pin of button A and that a signal from for example button…

That should work - depending on how the switches are wired. I might use a FET to get less voltage drop.

Was thinking about putting a pnp transistor between the signal pin of button A and that a signal from for example button B, closes the transistor between pin A. So that it never registers both buttons at the same time.

Requires 1 transistors and 1 resistors.

Was this what you meant? Let me know, thx!
