Looking for a touchscreen to play with

Can anyone recommend a touchscreen to start playing with it and PIC32?

A good price is also interesting.

Hi,

There are several development kits out there with PIC32 + graphics LCD + touchscreen :
* PIC32MX4 Multimedia board from Mikroelektronika
* PIC32 Multimedia Expansion Board from Microchip
* Evaluation platform for PIC24 or PIC 32 from Techtoys

There is also one with the new PIC24FJ256DA210 which integrates the graphics LCD controller :
* PIC24FJ256DA210 Development Kit

thank you both.
I have just purchase an Explorer 16 and some PIC32 PIMs from Farnell.
I think I will be buying the graphics PICtail.
Can the PICtails LCD be purchased barebones? Microchip do not sale it.

Hi,

If you have an EXPLORER16 the graphics PICTAIL plus is the best solution.
I am not too sure what you mean by barebone...

There are several options to buy around the Graphics Pictail Plus which you can see on this page.
With the empty board you can attach your own LCD

There are ready made projects for these boards in the libraries. Just assemble hardware and flash any project.

There is a specific training for graphics libraries (ref HIF2131) proposed in the worldwide Microchip Regional Training Centers in case you want to go further.

I mean the LCD with the controller but without the PCB for the Explorer 16.
I have seen it on Microchip Direct, so I think I will try it.
