Which manufacturer's Microcontroller do you prefer or trust for your " low power design applications "

I am currently designing with Texas Instruments microcontrollers and I trust them for low power applications specifically for those applications running on batteries. I think their ultra low power microcontrollers with Code composer studio which has in-built ULP advisory(not to mention GRACE too) is best for creating power controlled products. By this poll I want too know what you guys choose or prefer for low power designs? or Am I missing something already which I should have considered for power specific products? Please give your suggestions too.

  • You are most definitely missing SiLabs, who purchased Energy Micro. Their EFM32 series is great, they also provide power consumption profiling tools. All on-chip peripherals are designed for low power consumption, and they provide great documentation on how to get the most out of their hardware while saving Joules.
