Do you know about the name change of Tyco Electronics to TE Connectivity?
I have heard about this, yes. Here is the News Release from their website:

Good question. I was a bit surprised to be perfectly honest. But, I can sort of see what they are trying to do. It'll be interesting to see how the market takes to it - the most important thing for TE is to make sure they keep their customers fully informed at every step, to make sure they don't lose any on the journey. Of course, it's difficult for me to give an unbiased opinion - as we are partially a competitor, we'd be happy to try and help any lost customers 
. It would be interesting to hear the opinion of any Tyco employees as well.
