Can you migrate from Eagle to DesignSparkPCB?

Hi,

I have designed some boards using Eagle Freemium which I quite liked but the measly eurocard layout limit is virtually useless.  Thanks to 'The Amp Hour' and the EEVBlog I found out RS components do a comletely free PCB layout tool which can be used to make panels... for free!  So in future I would prefer to use their software rather than spend £1800 on Eagle just to do some 2-layer PTH panels.  A shame.

My question is does anybody know a way of importing Eagle files on to RS DesignSparkPCB?

Thanks,

Michael

There are CAD consultants all over who can translate a design to Design Spark for you. Since I am time limited by all of my current projects, I am hiring a CAD consultant to convert a schematic from OrCAD Capture to Design Spark for me in the Boston area where I work. I would reccommend that Schematics that are 4 or more C size sheets are most efficiently converted by conversion consultants, as it can easily take twice the time if you've never done it before.

    HI Michael,

I hope you're doing well. Where did you get that pricing from? EAGLE Pro with all three modules runs for $1640.00 which is as of today equivalent to 1446.28 euros or 1060.93GBP. It may just be that I'm misinterpreting the monetary symbol in your post.

Keep in mind that depending on the board size you need you could also get a cheaper version like the standard.

Let me know if there's anything I can do for you.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia
