BeagleBone Black HPC cluster?

So I have seen images of a Raspberry Pi "supercomputer" http://www.southampton.ac.uk/~sjc/raspberrypi/pi_supercomputer_southampton.htm

But as supercomputer components do not really need graphical abilities, I was wondering if it would be better to use BBB, as it (at non-overclocked speeds) is faster then a Raspberry Pi.
