IOS Controlled 12V Switch Bank - Does it exist?

I need a switch bank to control 12v lights in my van and I also want to be able to control the switches remotely either by a dedicated remote or via an iphone app which would be the best. Does anybody know of a product like this already in existence?

  • NETIO, coupled with a WIFI or other IP connection works great, i have been using it for a year and a half with great results

    Does that only work where there is wifi? It needs to work in remote locations such as the Nevada desert. I found some smartphone controlled relays on this website https://www.controlanything.com/ but it looks like bluetooth relay control isn't supported by apple, only android (see screenshot)

  • Yes, WIFI but the IPhone has the ability to be a Hot Spot so once your in range it will connect and you should be able to communicate with it, I have not tried this but I dont see any reason it will not work

     

    The Bluetooth option is also viable but may be more expensive depending on where you can get the sheild

    I think the product from controlanything comes with a sheild and they have an app for the relay control. Now I just need to figure out which would be better wifi and hot spot on iphone or bluetooth on android. Do you know if either will work without a network signal?

    By network I assume you mean a cell signal

     

    if so then the answer is yes it should work
