I am currently looking for a solution to encode a raw video 1080p@30 to H264 format on the fly. The iMX6D and iMX6Q seems to be good candidates but I can't find info that tells exactly what are the profile supported. Some doc says the VPU supports BP others says MP. Does anyone has some light on this?
If there is a limit on VPU encoding, would it be possible to do it on the 2 or 4 arm cores?
Can you think of other solutions to do this ?
Finally, do you guys have video samples (links) of H264 profiles so we can have the idea of the overall quality of the output?
