Looking for somebody to hire for quick Arduino related job

Hi!

 

I am vaguely familiar with Arduino programming but for my next trick I will need some help.

 

The job:

Make this linear actuator:

Tritex II DC Linear Actuator — TritexTm Integrated Products | Exlar

 

controllable with this pressure differential:

MPXV7002DP Freescale Semiconductor | Mouser

 

The actuator will go to the center of the range when no pressure is applied, and go either way according to whether the user sucks or blows into a straw, of course the signal is analog. The linear actuator will be used to steer a vehicle I am building that you can see here:

    Hi Skye,

    I don't think you need an arduino at all. This actuator can respond directly and proportionally to an analog voltage such as the voltage produced by the sensor. You may need to adjust offset and amplification, but it looks like the actuator can probably handle these adjustments using its own programmable setup.

    Cool! Thanks Doug! I might still want the arduino to lessen the steering amount when traveling faster but that is awesome news, thank you. I should mention also that I am in Pacifica, CA (bay area)

    An arduino would work, but you could also avoid programming by having a simple analog circuit that would attenuate the control signal in proportion to the speed.
