Hello,
I would appreciate some advice on this component.
I have a battery powered device (a clock) that runs on a 1.5-V battery. I want to use this radio controlled clock to transmit a synchronising pulse to other devices by using its alarm output.
It has an alarm output that is 1.5-V relative to 0V when the alarm is not operating, and is 0-V when the alarm is operating
I need to interface it with a 5-V CMOS IC (Schmitt 74HC14) and a 5-V MCU system.
1.5-V is less than the minimum reliable voltage for voltage high logic, so I was proposing to translate the 1.5-V signal to 5-V - speed of conversion is not an issue.
The TXB0101 operates at 5-V on one port and down to 1.2-V on the other port.
I have used FETs for the same purpose, but would like to try this IC.
Do you think it would be suitable?
Thank you
