the 6 volt battery with 2 springs

Does one of the springs come covered? I've bought 2 today but I'm not sure if I've brought the wrong thing as one is a spring and the other just plastic. please help

    Hi Nikki, Yes the positive spring usually comes covered in a plastic cap so that it can't be shorted out. If you pull or twist the plastic the cover will come off so you can use the battery. John

    thanks i'm convinced, i just have to convince my parents! I think i will have to do it when they're not looking.

    no camera sorry. it has one spring and one plastic bit sticking up

    it should do but middle one is plastic

    The plastic should come off and the battery will then be usable. Here is what the same battery looks like with the plastic cap that needs to be removed.
