I would like to replace a variable resistor with a device that is controlled by MCU. I know a transistor can act like a switch which solves part of my problem.
Thanks,
Clem

Tell us more !
range of resistance
accuracy
precision (size of steps)
max voltage across
does it have one side earthed
working frequency range
anything else important (eg noise, reliability, cost, speed of response)
Could you use a variable voltage instead ?
