    Hi Randy,

Search for a buck switching converter that will accept an input of 60 volts and has an output of 12 volts. Don't worry about the Amps.

    Hi Randy,

Unless you are doing this as a learning exercise it is best to buy an existing unit. Here is a DC / DC buck converter that will take 60 volts on the input and will output an adjustable voltage at 10 amps. This means you would be able to set it at 12 volts and as long as your load didn't drop below 1.2 Ohms it would be up to the job. Now the unit I am showing you is very inexpensive and from China. If you search you will find many other similar models. I do not vouch for their quality of dependability. If this is for a professional application you can check out some of the high quality power supply companies for a better quality unit. I personally have used similar Chinese products on some of my personal and non-professional builds with good luck but it is always a bit of a gamble when you are only paying $10.00 for something.
