Robotics student final year project ideas

Hello,

 

I am currently a robotics student at plymouth university doing my year in industry and I am trying to decide what i would like to do for my final year project, but alas It has gotten half way through the year and I am out of ideas, I really want to do something with machine learning and neural networks maybe simulating somestuff would be great, I would really like to do something interesting or something really productive and worthwhile. If anyone has any ideas or know a companies that would like an idea in robotics developed i would be happy to look into it. If people have any suggestions or contacts that would be fantastic, thank you image

    Look for applications that involve the latest buzz-words like IoT and wearable electronics - they will have that extra cool factor.

    For wearable electronics, how about a robot that can automatically follow you around carrying your tools - lots of tradespeople have this requirement.

    If you want more IoT, how about a robot that will understand and execute the following command: "Go to the front window and show me what is going on outside"

    (which could be shortened to "window 1 video")
