Ultrasonic sensor for IoT device

tytanic.saint

Hi,

I am looking for small ultrasonic sensors similar to those used in car reversing systems. Looking to develop a safety device to sense obstacles via ultrasound and be able to alert users to impending collisions. But key is has to be as small as possible as the product packaging is very small. Any idea where to find? Most ultrasonic sensors I see are industrial grade more for factory automation. Thanks in advanced!

You can probably find them even cheaper to be honest, I think mine cost me about £8 but that was getting on for over 10 years ago. Most shops that sell hobby robotic components and sensors will most likely have them so shop around

Check out Maxbotix sensors. They are pretty reliable.
