Looking for a DPDT switch 40 A 48v DC (waterproof); or Y connector to connect two e-bike batteries (pannier and frame batteries, both 48v).
With the DPDT set up, the first battery will drain and the switch used to transfer to the other battery after the first battery is flat. With the Y connector both batteries will be drained simultaneously.
Which is the best solution and are the parts available?
As this is for outdoor use, perhaps a Marine Battery switch would work for you
For the battery, you dont need to isolate both + and -, just the plus. These switches are designed for just what your asking and will handle the load easily. there are loads to choose from and some are available at your local hardware store
