Can anyone recommend some good free screen recording software. It would be helpful when having issues to be able to record what is going on for myself and others to better explain teh issue and provide useful help.
Thanks
Kas

Which OS are you on? In OSX, you can use QuickTime to do screen recordings.
Frederick if I am not wrong also under Windows there is the QuickTime application that makes screen recording available. For the Windows machines the best solution (quality and performances) I have found until now is running a custom Windows machine under VirtualBox and screen recording the entire screen or just a window, part of the screen etc.

Hi,
i use the tools from AVS4you already some years.
For screen recording i use the video editor / "create a new project" / - - - then with the video converter, i convert the created video into the needing format.
You can it use for free but you have a banner in there (in video the first minute).
The cost for a license for all tools is quite inexpensive.
Best Regards,
Gerald
Microsoft had a tool call problem steps recorder I used often when I worked in a Windows world. It is a native supported application that records screens and button presses while you are using an application. It then saves the file in a human readable form (i.e. browser). I have used it to make screen shots that I then use when creating user manuals. Try the name on the search bar or do a search for PSR.
what about https://camstudio.org/ ?
That has been my go-to solution for long. It has incompatibility issues lately. The free version is no longer maintained.
OBS studio is the best one. It's open source too
If you want cheap and cheerful, minimum friction and the abillity to include a presentation or graphics ... give Powerpoint a try (seriously).
This has worked very well for me where I have needed something quickly with minimum fuss.
Free screen recording recommend you one I am using: free screen recording, this screen recording is relatively simple, it is very convenient to use
