Trying to identify a specific battery spring contact type

Hi all,

I'm trying to source some specific spring contacts for some board repairs (EOL product).

The board uses a 9V / PP3 pressed between these contacts and the housing.

Any assistance in finding a source for these or how to describe them to help me continue my search would be greatly appreciated.

If you can find the normal surface mount ones, the why don't you modify the base by cutting your own PCB wrap around clips from it. It should be fairly easy to do with a metal sheet cutter.

    Hi Edward,

Have you thought about making your own anchors using #14 copper wire. You could begin by gluing the loose pads down again. Clean off the old solder. Bring a piece of #14 or #16 solid copper wire from behind the clip, over the edge and around to the other side just as the new modified clips do. Then solder the clips to the pad and the solid copper wire to the clips. If my description isn't clear enough let me know and I will try to draw it up or make a prototype to take a picture of.

    Hi John,

    Thanks for the reply.

I had thought about making my own brace, the solder would hold everything in place.

I can't imagine these parts where custom made / limited run though so I was hoping to find a compatible variant from somewhere :-)

    Regards

    Ed

I removed a set so we can get a better look at them.

Thank you all for the replies, I will have a hunt through the linked pages and see if we have any matches.
