Capacitor code on Bose AWRCC5 radio CD

mousermagyar

Hi, can anyone out there assist. I am repairing a Bose Wave Radio from 1994 which has a  problem capacitor. It's a surface mount aluminium radial with the code v bar (bar is on top of the v) then 2; the next line reads 100 and the third line 6V. Can anyone help me identify this?

Thanks

Barry

    Hi Barry,

It would help to see a picture but what you describe sounds like 100 uF at 6 volts DC. Most of the time aluminum capacitors are rated in Micro Farads and the 6 volts is a low but not uncommon voltage rating.
