I'm a software guy. I am figuring this out as I go. Looking for advice.
I'm building a smart switch. So, it has to fit into a single switch electrical box. It needs WI-FI and BLE.
(1) What I would like is an MCU with WI-FI and BLE. I see SoC(s) with all that, but they are way more compute and price than can be justified for this. Any suggestions on an MCU with Wi-FI and BLE?
(2) I would like to use a transformerless power supply, but it looks like I am talking 400mA (119mA relay + ~250mA MCU/WI-FI) in the worse case when the radio is transmitting and the relay is switching. Also, the current when nothing is going on looks to me single digit mA. So, quite a wide swing for power. Any suggestions?
Thank you,
John
