Hello,
Does any one know of a filter that filters IR but not the visible spectrum?
Thank you,
Richard

There is one inside most digital cameras; they're usually slightly blueish in color.
I've heard that you can use some copper sulfate solution (also slightly blueish.)

The most powerful (but also most expensive) IR filters are used in high power film projectors, as used in movie theatres. This filter is placed between the lamp and the film to hold (most of) the heat of the lamp away from the film.
