(This forum post is hopefully in the right place. If not, feel free to move it)
Hey folks,
As engineers and project builders, I we can all agree that while not glamorous, documentation is an important, if not the most important, aspect of any given project. Good or bad documentation can make the difference between whether your project is popular and used by others or not. In light of this, we developed some open-source documentation templates in LaTeX (the typesetting language) for the Maker community to use. This way, users can focus on the content of their documentation, while not worrying about the structure. This will offer the ability to write up documentation in TeX files and then convert one's documentation to a wide variety of formats, including PDF, HTML, Wiki, etc. Additionally, we maintain an online git repository where people can download the templates from.
You can check out our blog post on the documentation templates here. We'd love for people to consider and use these to better document their projects, and any feedback on making the templates better would be much appreciated. Please let us know what you think.
Thanks,
George Hadley
