I2C interface between Microprocessor and Honeywell Sensor

Hi all,

I'm new here image

I had some problems on some tecnical issus and I hope that you guys will be able to advice me on.

The following questions,
1)  I am testing a HSC Series Pressure Sensor by Honeywell, where I can't  set or know the address of the sensor. How do the master (in my case its  the RCM3700UM) address the slave.

2) Is there a code sample to  obtain the result from the I2C device???? I have used the code sample  from a online I2C tutorial. There is a code sample for start, stop,  write, and read to an I2C device. But it don't seems to work.

3) What is the Digital output that we should be able to see if the sensor is working fine?

4) What are the ways for me to check if the sensor chip is still on working condition?

Thanks
Bruce

    Bruce,

The data sheet (see link) mentions available i2c addresses on page 4 - nomenclature and order guide. I would suggest you try using these addresses one by one and check for response..

    All the best !

    Hello,

I am trying to communicate with honeywell pressure sensor. The sensor is not sending back an ack when the address and r/w bit is transmitted to it. Is there any settings to be done. The datasheet only asks to wait for the ack from the sensor and there are no mentioned settings. The address of my device is 0x38. When I change the slave address to eeprom it works fine.
