Hi, I´m Xabier. Were are trying to use eagle in our company. We have just download and installed the Freemium edition to test it and I´ve been watching a spanish tutorial video for beginners. In that video the expert use the design link, but i´ve been following his steps i have the next problem:

"Error while accessing 'https://uk.farnell.com/pffind/services/SearchService':

6 SSL handshake failed"

I would thank any help.

    Hi Xabier

This thread may help you: http://www.element14.com/community/message/10929

or you could post this question directing to our resident Cadsoft expert, Richard Hammerl : http://www.element14.com/community/message/5177

    Hi Pat,

I´ve just read that thread, but it appears to be another kind of problems (end of file) my problem is a handshake error (6 SSL handshake failed).

I´ve already posted the question to Richard but hadn´t received any answer, I will try again.

    Thanks anyway.

    Xabier

    Hi Xabier,

It seems that is something wrong with your internet settings, Eagle client seems to use the IE settings.

Maybe you have to customize those settings (proxy, security....)

I've just checked Eagle v. 6.0 and 6.1 and it works well.

Try some other SSL/TLS connection from IE and if it's ok open a new > schematic and push DesignLink > General and search some part name.

    What OS/version do you use?

Here is some nice SSL handshake debugging:

Sorry, I found the direct proxy settings of Eagle in DesignLink Help.

Control Panel (Eagle window) > Help > Check for update > Configure.

    Hi Danteo,

I think it must be a server problem as you suggest. But first of all i´m not an expert on networks and secondly i don´t know how is the net configured.

So i have been trying to insert all the ip´s that i´ve seen (cmd->ipconfig there are some switch, router and my computer´s ip´s i supposse), but i don´t know even the port.

And now the error when i try to access to design link is "99 Proxy connection refussed" or "99 Proxy denied connection" depending on the ip and the port inserted.

Anyway, it sould be problem now how to resolve it, although if somebody know how to do it, it would be great.

    Thanks a lot.

    Xabi

    Hi,

even though the last post is nearly 3 years old it seems like the problem still exists. It's about time to solve it...

I'm having the same issue - can't connect to designlink.

Tried both http and https by adjusting the scripts.

    Error while accessing 'http://api.element14.com/pffind/services/SearchService':

401 Error downloading http://api.element14.com/pffind/services/SearchService?callinfo.apiKey=sf4kqy6u29tkt95gg5a3wejz - server replied: Internal Server Error

The endpoint reference (EPR) for the Operation not found is https://eprocurement.newark.com/pffind/services/SearchService and the WSA Action = null

Dropping either link in the browser returns this:

    Our website is

    Currently Unavailable
