Hi,
I think it would be very interesting to see an N64 multiplayer solution using original hardware implemented. My design consists of an N64 modified to act as either a server or a client. Obviously in server mode the N64 sends out video and receives controller inputs and vice versa in client mode. I was thinking that somehow the composite video could be sent via a wired or wireless connection to a computer, where the data exchange would occur over the internet. To keep the scope of the project within reason, I think the following simplifying assumptions would be necessary. No software management to organize players online. Instead use a direct connection to send and receive the video and controller data with the players finding each other via IP address. Any ideas on whether this is possbile(within reason) and where to start. Thanks.
