Modelling a PV panel using electronics hardware circuitry to replace an actual PV panel

Hi, I am a student who currently working out on a project related to solar maximum power point tracking. Since i don't have any pv panel that can be used, I wish to developed a circuit to represent the characteristic of an actual pv panel. Does anyone know or have any information related to this? Thanks

    Sounds like your projects scope is a bit large. Not all Solar panels are created equally. There output will differ based on how they are made and how big the cells are. But in order to document the characteristics based on exposure you'll have to have an actual panel on hand. You won't be able to simulate it with a circuit. Though you might be able to do it with software but then you would need all the information your project is looking for to properly simulate the panel.

    Hi Michael,

         First of all thanks for the information. Besides, may i know how actually the maximum power point tracking system work? I mean how to determine the value of the components in boost or buck converter .From my knowledge, the input to the dc-dc converter is from solar pv while the output of the dc-dc converter is to load. The whole process control by the adjustment of duty ratio.so may i know how to determine the value of the component in dc-dc converter because the output to the load cannot be fixed if the input and duty ratio subject to change
