I have a NI USB 6343 module circuit board, loaded with 3M - N2534-6002RBN2534-6002RB IDC style male sockets and also the green Pheonix screw terminal blocks. I need to spec a test box and cables that will interface with this USB DAQ.
(On the ATE test fixtures I used to work on, the IDC connectors were used inside (Wire wrapped to test pins) and outside (Interfacing with the ATE). I don't recall seeing IDC on actual external cables though.)
1) For the IDC connectors, do I have to use some kind of ribbon cable to plug into this, or is there a shielded type of cable that I can use to improve noise immunity. I am mostly dealing with e.g. 50uV to 10mV signals.
2) For the Pheonix screw terminals, is there a plug that I can use in this, so the operator doesn't have to fiddle wit the screw terminal every time? If so, can I use screened cable with that?
(NOTE I have in the past seen a plug that can mate with MOLEX - 38630-7806 - TERMINAL BLOCK, 6WAY)
3) To connect into the test box, would either euro-fast or military style cylindrical connectors do a good job considering small signal and the requirement for noise immunity?
