Light control

Hello

 

I'm building a light control system for my room and I was planing to use an Arduino to take LUX readings and control the light to keep the light level at a set LUX, turn the circuit on with a MOSFET and then have something to to control the powerflow.

 

So my quistion is what should I use to control the standard house 240v light input?

I'm manly having problems finding this because English is not my first language so speciality names of electronic components somtime confuse me.
