help identifying part from picture

this is a strange one, i have tried googling the number on top of this part to no avail, and i have zero idea what it could be to try and find a replacement.

They have one input from a button (this is an arcade pcb), and it connects to a resistor array and what i assume to be a register or something for the other end. When i got this particular board it looks like someone started ripping them out because they burnt a couple of traces trying to fix something (something i managed to fix), but now i need these to put back in so input will work

Can anyone identify what this is?

It looks like an optocoupler to me. I cannot find data to match the numbers printed on the device.
Many optocouplers are available in this case. Some have a transistor output some have a SCR output. I recommend try first an optocoupler with a transistor output. If one of these components is still working you can try to measure its characteristics. Most common fault of optocouplers is not a complete faillure but a reduced transfer gain. Important spec is the maximum LED-current.

That actually looks right for its purpose. Is there anyway to test the device to check if this is what it is, and if it is, test to find a suitable replacement?

You can remove the device from the board to test it.
May be it is even possible to test the device while still on the board.
The pictures show the most common pinouts and a simple test circuit.

thanks so much for your help. after doing some googling on opto couplers and arcade boards, these seem to be a knock off tlp521.
I can not thank you enough, now i can get this beast going again!
