NOOBS problem

What's good my fellow Raspberry Pi peoples? I am having a problem and am hoping someone can help me out. Before I start I would like to say that I am aware that one solution to my problem is a format, redownload and reinstallation; I would like to avoid this if possible. I installed and have been messing around with Rapbian. Now I would like to move to another OS, but I am unable to do so. After I boot, the screen that allows me to press Shift to install another OS never appears. First is the multicolored screen, then Raspbian begins to boot. Does anyone know what's going on?  Are any of the OSs recoverable? If so, how do I get to them?

I appreciate your time and knowledge.

Hello, why not rewriting the SD card with the original contents ? It's a quick way. Probably your files are corrupted and the boot menu for changing OS is gone, but a full rewriting of the complete SD image just requires a couple of minutes, so (in my opinion) is the fastest way to solve the problem. Be sure to use a program like Win32DiskImage to rewrite the SD card and HPtools for reformat it prior to rewrite. Hope this helps... bye
