Capacitor Help !!!

Former Member
Former Member over 11 years ago

Hello all. Was sent here from Farnell. I seem to be having a problem finding out what part number I am working with on this capacitor. I can't find a part number and I need to replace this thing. Only markings on the capacitor are on the top. They are 3R 470 ELA . This capacitor is on an Hewlett Packard laptop motherboard. If there is anyone out there that can tell me the technical aspects of this thing so I can order one from wherever, it would be greatly appreciated. image

Hi John - I did a little more research. Check out this Panasonic Data sheet.  http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1676921.pdf  According to this "E LA" might indicate that it is a 25V and is part of the LA series.

    Good Luck John

Well done John W,  I thought the number looked a bit familiar but I gave up when a Farnell search on ELA failed me.
