So, i came across this awsome project on kickstarter
Has enyone tried building somthig like this?, and if so how?

It looks like an interesting way to demonstrate standing waves, but not sure I'd want 70W of ultrasound next to my face.
Possibly quite easy to set this sort of thing up if one really wanted to (which I don't).
For all the details see this, it was done over a year ago by Mike

It does seem like a fairly close copy of Mike's implementation. And he would be sensible to completely build the reflecting part of the apparatus before turning up the power.
Interesting that another KS by the same guy was some ultrasound speaker that people paid hundreds of dollars for - with comments from some users like:
"10 minutes is my maximum listening time at full power before I need a few hours break"
and
"Just got mine. It really is powerful, I got a headache after a minute and never even pointed it directly at myself, just bounced it off a wall"
so I can't see how that is useful - and to direct ultrasound at their ears : ( maybe that's not a healthy thing to do, but then I'm no expert, this is just an opinion : (
Hmmm yes probably no health or compliance testing in the product and looking at the board, mostly off the shelf transducers and standard logic, and a bit of maybe clever software
I for one would not want to subject myself to that kind of abuse
Would seem easier to simply focus a regular sound wave using a parabolic dish, Oh, wait that’s been done already
