serial programmer driver problem in windows?

The problem is that the Pony Prog software hasn't been written to work with USB Comport emulating devices. Unless you have access to the source code you can't do much about it.

(You might get lucky and find that you can get it to work by changing settings on the USB device driver. This might work if the programmer only uses the RX and TX signals.)

Does anyone maintain this code any more - if so you could ask them.

Failing that you could write your own programming software.

You know that there is one usb to serial com port converter from BAFO technologies/prolofic which is supported only by windows xp not by windows 7. In case we want to use it with windows 7 we need to buy another model of that. I really don't understand these business tricks of the manufacturers...... Can we overcome these and in near future..

In my opinion by far the best USB/COm converters come form FTDI - their parts are much better documented and they offer good support on their web site. The drivers for FTDI USB/Comm devices are built into Windows 7 and 8, drivers for XP are downloadable from their website.

I don't know why the converter you refer to won't work with Windows after XP but there may be a perfectly good technical reason.

            Can you provide me some sought of help for any internship programme abroad(out of my country) or at your place. I am willing to do this in the field of Embedded systems/Robotics/DSP.

I'm sorry I can't help you directly - I work on my own so I don't have the capability to support an intern.

The method I have used in the past to find work (ie new clients) is to check out job recruitment ads and contact the employers directly. It's very hard to get past the recruiting agencies on sites like Monster and Jobsite but one I know where employers advertise directly and you can find their contact details is

There are others - you need to work at it to find them.

Once you find an employer who is looking for people you need to find their website and work out what they do and how you might be useful. Then you need to write/email them and explain what you can do for them. I do it by phone but I guess that would be expensive for you. You'll get  a lot of rejections but you need to persevere.
