Hi,
Looking to replace a failed relay (Finder 34.51.7.012.4010), but the original is not readily available here (Australia). Could probably source from overseas, or could use one of two alternatives that are locally available, the only difference being the contact materials:
AgSnO2 (the original, which I am looking to replace)
AgNi (appears to be the 'standard', with plentiful stock - Finder 34.51.7.012.0010)
AgNi + Au (not much stock, but available and for some reason about 30% of the cost of the AgNi -- you'd think the gold and less common usage would add a premium)
The only clue I found re the purpose of the different contact materials was a reference in a different manufacturer's data sheet:
AgNi - for resistive or inductive loads,
AgNi/Au - contact surface protection against oxidation during storage,
AgSnO2 - for capacitive loads or incandescent lamp loads

So, just wondering if I should make the effort to track down the original spec (AgSn02), for for the 'popular' choice (AgNi) or take the low cost option (AgNi = Au)...
Application is a coffee machine (a nice one), in the brain box, with the relay controlling the vibratory pump.
Cheers, Brian
