C++ rope

Question

So i just started programming c++, and i whant to make a simple 2D game just to test my new skills

While i was planing, i came acrose a problem. How do you program a rope into a game?!

Enyone know how i can write the physics behind a rope, and make it acts natrual? Please explane in a "easy way" as my english skills arent the best

magnus2112 You may want to check out this sample code. LineRenderer Rope - Unify Community Wiki They even allow you to change the rigidity of how loose the rope gets. Cheers, Clem

They usually model it like a string of beads with mass and a frictive coupling, IIRC. Rope hangs in a curve called a Catenary - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

One of the few things the classical Greeks were wrong about.

I modeled this years ago using an STL list, again IIRC, on a computer that probably blew up long ago.
