The cirrus logic card looks ideal for my project. But lots of discussion on the web that it doesn't work properly. Software unsuitable and no compatability with Raspberry Pi2. Does anyone know if changes are in hand to correct these problems?

When I get one, I plan to build a kernel support myself. I will let you know then.

Thank you for your reply - I wait for your reply to my question.
Am I correct in what I have said - it seems a bit odd to me that the board may be obsolete because of the new Pi2.
Thanks again for your help !

I would not say the board is obsolete as far as hardware goes. On the other hand Cirrus has not put forth serious effort to update the driver code to work with Raspberry Pi 2. They may not think this is a hot button yet. Time will tell.
