Video recording and editing software

I make Youtube videos but I need a better recording software and editing software but I don't know what I need exactly. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated thank you guys very much cause I have learnt so much already from this community

    As I suppose you don't read Italian, I don't suggest a book I wrote times ago but that is already on the shelf of the libraries and Amazon. FinalCut is the direct antagonist of Adobe Premiere while iMovie is a a couple of step down in quality. In theory you will hear lot of suggestions to use iMovie for "small works" or for "hobby only". In fact I suggest almost the opposite. If you spend few time in practice with Premiere (it is more supported than FinalCut in a lot of different contexts) I am sure you will get great benefits from it.

     

    Just to make an example, adopting something "simple" instead of "more pro" in this creative field means limiting by yourself the creative ideas you can have, just as it is a almost stupid use a very crap guitar to  understand to play guitar. A great experienced musician probably can play almost well also with a shoe box with strings but with the initial handicap of the low experience it is better to have an instrument that produce already a good sound. As few you can do you hear at least always pleasant sounds.

    If you need help I can help you with Premiere, there are some free limited versions of the program that can fit more than iMovie as quality and give you a good starting point, IMHO.
