Hi

we are going to design educational interactive robot to learn kids programming logic by android app , like this robot ......

Vortex Open-Source Robot Teaches Kids How to Code - Robotics Trends

we want our robot recognize human faces and their sounds

and the question is ..what  software and hardware we need to do that .. and can we  only use  arduino to do that  or intelgalileo is better for that

    Take a look at OpenCV and see if that suits your needs. You may need something a bit beefier than an Arduino to host that application though. Have you looked at the Raspberry Pi?

    excuse me ... do you mean I have to use  Raspberry Pi and Arduino ?

    and if that what you mean .. why we cant use Raspberry Pi  only ??

    You can just use the Raspberry Pi if you want.

    Be aware that the GPIO voltage is 3.3v, and are likely to be damaged if you apply the wrong voltages or draw too much current through them.
