I have generated PWM through SG3525 IC and then I have given its output to IR2110 to make it a 12-volt PWM by which I am driving MOSFET (IRF540) at a 10 to 40% duty cycle. when I place CHOPPER at the source of this MOSFET then MOSFET gets too heated.
(drain voltage for MOSFET is 12 to 17 voltage)
Without placing a chopper it's working fine but with a chopper it gets heated...
Can anyone guide me on why MOSFET(IRF540) is getting heat???
I would be highly thankful to you people...
