Need Help In Identifying a Connector

Hello everyone and happy to have joined.

had a colleague of mine refer me to this site and I must say I am impressed.

I recently purchased at salvage a very high end gaming rig that was dropped off a UPS truck.  All was working except 2 RTX 2080 gaming x Trio Editions and the RGB connectors for many of the fans.

I was able to test them all with a DC power supply and leads to the terminal snaps inside the connectors.  All fans tested good except 2 of them.  There are 9 fans total and all of them as far as I can tell have bad ends like when it was dropped the cables sustained a very hard tug.

The fans are LL140's which use the same everything as the LL120's.  Only difference being that the LL140's are 20mm larger.

Having a hard time finding the terminals and connectors for the rgb portion of the fan's connections.

Anyone able to help me identify so that I may remake them?

Here are some pics:

    Hi,

You might be able to find something that physically fits perhaps without the plastic latch and guide ribs.

If the existing socket measure 2.54mm from one hole center to the next, (obviously, measure the distance from the far end holes and divide by 3 to get an accurate value) then you might be able to substitute by something often known as 0.1" dupont sockets. However the problem you'll have is that they ideally need a crimp tool, although with care they could be soldered at a pinch.

It may be possible to buy something like this and cut wires and make joins, but it's an ugly solution. Or a search term of female jumper wires, also ugly solution.

Or, go here for the crimping method, it mentions the part codes for the crimp tool and the sockets: Making 0.1" Jumper Cables.

This 4-way plastic body could be used with the crimp socket terminals.

If the distance between the hole centers is not 2.54mm, then you'll need to report back, or google-search for the distance you measure, in case you find the right connector.

Hello and thanks for the reply Shabaz!

My colleague and I have been searching for days to match this connector and I believe we finally got it.  Of course it comes from the ether right after I made the post lol.

They are as you said Dupont 2.54mm connectors with the latch and 2 keys and they are heavily used in Dell computer fans.

    Found the connectors here:
    https://www.moddiy.com/products/Dell-Fan-Corsair-LED-MX-2.54mm-Pitch-Dupont-Male-Female-Connector.html

    And the terminal Pins here:

    https://www.moddiy.com/products/2.54mm-Dupont-Connector-Pins-%28Female%29.html

Now I just need to figure out the crimping tool needed :-P

I seem to remember Shabaz posting a tutorial on element14 as well so you might search for that.
