PowerCool UPS - how to run a script after detection of power loss ?

Hello. We purchased the PowerCool UPS RACK1200VA, and we installed the software on a Windows Server. The UPS is connected to that Server, and the Server detects a power loss alert sent by the UPS.

The UPS administration software allows scripts to be run on power loss (Settings Window > Shutdown Tab > 'Additional Parameters' Block > 'Execute External Program' Field), but it doesn't work: the script is not executed.

How can we troubleshoot this problem ?

I don't know the answer, but perhaps it doesn't like spaces in folder path or script name, if spaces exist. Also, if the script relies on other folders or files, perhaps those folders or files need an absolute path specified in the script, if currently they are by reference to the path of the parent script.

There's a Windows utility that shows in a pane what system functions are being called by programs/scripts, so you can examine (say) return values to see what failed. I think it's this utility:

however I have not used it in years, and might be leading you in the wrong direction.
